Introducing The Freedom Cup - the perfect adaptive drinking aid for those who need extra support holding their cups. Whether you're elderly, disabled, have had a stroke or suffer from dementia, The Freedom Cup is a bespoke item designed to meet your specific needs. This spill-proof mug for adults features a double-walled design, ensuring your drinks stay hot or cold for longer.
At Philomena's Boutique, we make each cup individually, and our talented team designs them to fit your unique preferences. Choose from a range of patterns, such as bees or peacock feathers, or provide us with a photo of your choice. We offer a child-centric design option, so your little ones can enjoy their own bespoke cup. Because we make the cups by hand there is a seam at the back, this simply indicates they're made by hand, one at a time using a press.
The cup has two large easy-to-hold handles making it perfect for those who struggle with grip, while the spout on the lid ensures minimal spillage. Remove the silicone teat inside to make it free-flowing or increase the hole in the silicone with a small pair of scissors depending on the user's suck reflex. The stable base keeps the cup upright, and it holds up to 13oz ml of liquid.
Measuring 7.2cm x 12.9cm and weighing only 229g without liquid, The Freedom Cup is incredibly sturdy and has passed all of our drop tests. The screw-on sturdy plastic lid makes it easy to use on the go. Please note that the cup pictured is just an example; we can design yours with any pattern or colour you desire.
please note custom designed Freedom Cups are non/refundable

How to adjust the flow of the sippy cup (depending on your suck reflex)
First, remove the silicone teat from the spout of the cup.
Look for the small cross on the teat, which can be cut with small scissors.
If you want a slower flow, make a small cut along one of the arms of the cross.
If you want a faster flow, make a small cut along another arm of the cross.
You can adjust the flow according to the individual's suck reflex.
Once you have made the cut, reattach the silicone teat to the spout of the cup.
- Should you require free flow please remove the silicone teat completely.
Top stars from me bought for my mum who suffers with multiple sclerosis was worried about the weight no absolutely brilliant and she is drinking more because of the cup’s being a bigger size compared to the ones her care home supply I messed up the order and it was sorted immediately great communication will definitely be ordering again ladybirds and koalas are very nice with added name personalised thanks so much philomenas boutique!
Love love love this cup. I've searched high and low for this type of cup. It keeps my coffee warmer for longer or cold drink cooler longer. It would be nice to maybe have 2 sizes. I struggle with mobility so having a slightly larger cup would mean getting up less. I had my own pictures printed which I love, only a minor thing but when the lid is on it falls in the middle of the 2 pictures meaning I don't see them so well. But I still do ador my cup 💖
Bought for my mum to give to her friend who has Parkinson’s and has been struggling with conventional cups. I’m waiting to hear what she thought but my impression was it’s a well made cup with several extras to allow different uses (straw, sippy lid, flat lid). Beautiful design akin to reusable cups from well-known chain coffee shops.
Due to my dystonic tremor, hands & sometimes head, I have great difficulty with a normal cup. With yours I still feel like a grown up.
I ordered the Sippy cup for my 91 year old Mum who is in a nursing home with dementia. She is partially sighted, bed bound and struggles with her strength and dexterity. She can easily hold the Sippy cup and drink her tea safely, and she can make out a little of the bright colourful design. She struggled with a conventional mug with its weight, and not spilling the drink. The Sippy cup is much lighter and safer for her, and keeps her tea hot for longer. A great success and brilliant! Thank you!
